I've been working hard lately and have had little time to indulge myself. For the last few days, however, I've been wallowing in the absolutely luxurious collection of fics over at harlequin_sv The fandom is blessed indeed to have so many fine writers.

Brief and shallow thoughts on tonight's episode, 'Wither'.  

For anyone who's not yet read it, I want to recommend kantayra 's story 'An Alienated Property.'    Hot, angsty, and gorgeous, with superb characterizations, I really hope she writes many more stories in the SV universe.

Smallville season premiere tonight.  The kids and I are very excited -- we're going to have a premiere party with boiled shrimp, chips and dip, and lots of other goodies.  Happy Smallville watching, everybody!  

One other thing -- what's happened to the Smallville Slash archive?  I haven't been on the computer much recently, so I'm sure I'm just getting the news late, but I hope it's not gone forever.

I was in the mood for a nice, hot Clex fic this morning, and found a lovely one, indeed. It's been up since 2003 at SSA, so thorough readers have probably already devoured it, although it seems pretty obscure. It's called 'Watch' by W. Hawthorne.

It only has an R rating, presumably because there is no 'in person' sex, but trust me on this one, it's very, very erotic. The author is admirably skillful in the way she manages the pacing, not too slow, not too fast, but jussssttt right. The Clark/Lex tension is tangible, and we get to see some fun interaction with the four main teens and Lex, too. They should have done more of this on the show:-)

I saw the Superman Returns trailer today, and I have to say, Keven Spacey does a pretty damn good MR impression. Has anyone else seen this? His Lex is of course older and a little less sane, but I swear Spacey's absorbed quite a bit from the Rosenbaum style of Luthor.

Anybody going to this?
